One of the most common questions I get asked is about who to hire as a driver while wine tasting in Napa. Well folks, I decided to figure this out and vet Squire Livery for you! I seriously wasn’t prepared for the amazing time I was about to have. I’ve driven with other transportation companies over my years of wine tasting and nothing compared to the hospitality and overall experience that Squire Livery provided.

Planning your Napa wine tasting trip can be extremely stressful, especially if you have never been here before, don’t know where anything is and aren’t quite sure what you’re even looking for in a wine tasting experience. Having a driver is so nice. The only thing you have to think about is your next glass of wine.
I let our driver Shelby take over and plan out our whole day. Shelby and the rest of the team have long standing relationships with some of the best wineries, which is great because they are able to pull out cool experiences and perks that may not happen if you booked yourself. In addition, they know people all over the valley, including restaurants, hotels, unique experiences, etc. One of the extra perks to hiring them!
Here’s a peek into our wine tasting day with Squire Livery:
- Early morning pickup – extremely prompt, with a smile in tow even before 9 am
- Stop by Soda Canyon Store to pick up a picnic lunch – they have the cutest wine items!
- First stop – Amizetta – a winery that is hard to get to, and hard to get into to! Glad I had a driver for this one. The view is to die for.
- Next up, neighbor winery – Aonair – so incredibly welcoming. Everyone there knew Shelby and extended their love for her to us. Such a comfortable tasting environment! You won’t want to leave.
- 3rd and final winery – Frisinger – a gem in the Oakville area. Shelby opened my eyes to this winery, which I had never heard of!
- End of the day – drop off and hugs all around. We made a new friend!
