Or perhaps you’re just looking for a great winery to visit with epic views, top of the line hospitality and memorable wines? Rams Gate is your place!
Rams Gate is a winery that I’ve driven past many times, and always admired as it sat so regal upon vineyard covered rolling hills. I’ve constantly heard great things from friends, so I was excited to finally check it out! One thing I was really surprised to learn was how small-production and craft their wines are, with many of them being produced from well known prestigious Sonoma County vineyards. In fact, they only produce around 13,000 cases a year AND 95% of that is sold directly through their winery.
I was extremely lucky to join a special food and wine experience at Rams Gate this past weekend, and my friends and I can’t stop talking about how special it was. Tasting through their small production and carefully crafted Sonoma County wines with a five-course meal, in their private library, was a dream. Check out the menu below. Dreamy, right?
If I had to choose, I think my two favorite pairings were the 2016 Bush Crispo Pinot Noir from Russian River paired with the Alaskan halibut and the 2014 Hyde Vineyard Syrah from Carneros paired with a chocolate budino. Ya’ll know I love my red wine and chocolate. The entire experience was drool worthy, and was a testament to their dedication to hospitality, fresh ingredients and high quality wine.
This type of experience is something that is usually exclusive to members…which is why you should join their wine club! Typically I’m not a huge proponent of wine clubs, but Rams Gate’s membership provides you so much value. This is a wine club I would join – the perks are seriously amazing! See for yourself here.

Beautiful views, impeccable design, top of the line hospitality, a talented culinary team and truly special wines is what you’ll find upon your visit. I can’t wait to go back come summertime!
