Hi! I’m Raquel, a Sonoma County based wine blogger, content creator and unapologetic wine lover. My mission is to make wine more approachable, more engaging and ultimately, more fun. I’m going to guess you landed here because you are either a wine lover like myself, or you’re looking for the best places to wine taste in Napa, Sonoma and other wine regions beyond. Either way – welcome and thanks for stopping by! I’m so glad you’re here and hope you’re sipping something good while you scroll.
Here’s a little about me…
Living and working in wine country, I’ve made wine not just a passion but a lifestyle. Watch Me Sip started organically just as a way to share my love about wine and connect with others online. I never dreamed it would become my business where I get to share my wine adventures with wine friends around the globe + work with amazing brands. Pinch me! When I’m not behind the screen or camera, you’ll find me exploring tasting rooms, scouting new winery openings, or shopping for cheese (it’s true – I’m obsessed). When I’m not sipping, I love being active – anything outside, but also have recently become a hot pilates girly. I also enjoy whipping up new recipes – like wine, food is my love language, and also really enjoy traveling – usually to wine regions!
Some fun facts about Watch Me Sip:
- I am a certified Specialist of Wine and Spirits, I have my WSET Level 3 and am a WSET Diploma candidate – fingers crossed!
- I have a fat cat named Simba – honestly, he’s more popular than I am.
- My last meal would 100% be an epic cheese and charcuterie board
- I have a deep, unwavering dislike for ketchup and mayo (although, if it’s minimal & well mixed I can be persuaded)
- My hitchhikers thumb is next-level weird, but it hasn’t slowed down my swirl game
- I often get asked what my favorite varietal is but it’s impossible to answer. But let’s just say I’ll never say no to Champagne.
Whether you’re here for wine recs, winery/wine region guides or just some fun wine inspiration, I hope I help make your experience with wine feel more approachable, exciting and fun. If you ever have a wine question or a rec you’d like to share, I’d love to hear from you. Don’t be a stranger!
Cheers,
Raquel
